Behavior Research Center, Inc. collection, 1965-2006 1970's-1990's [manuscript].

This collection includes, but is not limited to: political/voter polls, brand recognition studies, consumer awareness and satisfaction studies, focus group recordings, surveys of target populations, and newspaper coverage of poll results. A major significance of this collection is that many of the studies reflect the first time surveys were done for the industry or subject area. Therefore they establish a baseline for all subsequent surveys. Although there are some out-of-state studies, the bulk of the collection forms a cohesive body of research material about all aspects of Arizona life, 1970's -1990's during a time of significant population growth and social change. This collection will be of interest to political, social and behavioral scientists, in such areas as education, history, political science, sociology, psychology, business marketing and advertising, corporate governance and leadership, planning, demography, economics, government administration, arts, professional sports, hospitality, transportation, and public policy.

These oral histories are not part of an existing manuscript collection and are arranged to allow for further additions. The Arizona Way project, created in 1977 as part of a project that examined the traditional values of Arizona, focused on the Anglo, Hispanic and Native American cultures through oral histories. It was funded by a grant from the Arizona Humanities Coun...
